The first week of short hair has finally hit the blog. I actually attempted to do it every singly day during the week too. You can see that Wednesday didn't turn out so well but that was because I got sick. This week had been busy busy as I get ready for a dance recital weekend and Miss Idaho paperwork and contestant selection. Plus all the things in between and my mind is on overdrive. So basically. The small talk ends here; let's take it to the outfits.

All week I was really happy with my outfits – but looking back now Thursday is for sure my favorite. I really love when weeks cruise by quickly. This week was the perfect combination of being busy and being able to relax. I spent Monday with my Mom at dinner and then DWTS. Tuesday was spent with Meg and a few of the Miss Idaho titleholders eating pizza for charity. Wednesday was spent getting my tires rotated, grocery shopping, and resting. Lots of rest. Thursday was tap. And now here we are at Friday. Tonight I am working an event at work and then going to the temple if I have time after. Sounds like a good, normal week to me! Now here is last week's outfits.

Okay so when I got dressed in the morning I would have picked Monday for my favorite outfit of the week. Because I am loving my new high neck striped top – it will actually be making an appearance on the blog very soon. I am a big fan of high necked things right now. But now looking at all the photos my favorite outfit from last week is Tuesday. I feel like the outfit, hair, and shoes combined came together perfectly. I will admit though – it is weird looking at these long hair photos now that I have chopped all mine off. Which outfit is your favorite?

This was perfect considering I am trying to get into the blogging swing of things and needed another something or another to give me a little push. This week was good. See what I mean. Blacks, tans, and greys. Oh so monochromatic. But I will be honest, this is my color palette so I actually really love all the outfits from that week. And I remember liking every outfit from that week. I finally felt like I was able to style properly every day. And this was the first week of my last weeks of good clean laundry… which is probably why I stopped taking photos. And since I did all my laundry last weekend that is probably why I started taking photos again. I now realize I have a pattern. My favorite look of the week is probably Tuesday. It was such a comfortable and simple look with a little cheetah flair. Second place is Friday. Which outfit would you love in your closet?

My favorite outfit of the week was totally Friday. I love when I get to wear jeans at work. You might remember this outfit plus a jacket in my last Styled by 5 post featuring Cents of Style. Once I wore it for that it went on replay. Right now it is on hold though because the top is in the laundry which has yet to be completed. That is a goal for tonight. But my Monday hair is for sure my fave. Which outfit are you loving the most?

This week I spent all of Monday and Tuesday in bed trying to not cough my lungs out and by Wednesday I was back at work, so I say this week overall was a huge success! But for reals, next week's weekday wardrobe post will be a real doozy because you better bet I took a photo for you of me in my jams. Gotta keep the real in the post, am I right? There are two different ways to look at last week's outfits and pick a favorite. My favorite outfit all on its own would definitely be Wednesday. The dress is one of the highest quality shift dresses I have ever gotten in my life. It is a nice thick material and it is perfect for dressing up or dressing down. I got a lot of compliments on it that day because of the styling. The front is Navy and the back is grey adding a nice slimming effect. My favorite outfit all put together with the hair is Thursday. You guys, high pony tails are my new thing. I feel like a boss when my hair is like that. So if I could have taken Wednesday's outfit and Thursday's hair I would have one of the best outfits I have ever had in my life. I say that in all sincerity. Which outfit are you loving on? Getting this post written and up proved to be a lot harder than normal. First, my blog server went down - again. Then once my site was live, the backend was broken so I couldn't even log in to do anything. Then once I finally got everything uploaded once I could log in again the internet at my house broke and I couldn't make the final tweaks and type in all this first paragraph. So why am I telling you all this? Because I want you to know it was hard and I still did it because I feel it is important! I love sharing my weekday wardrobe with you. This week was the last for mostly glasses because I finally got into my eye doctor! But it was funny to me how many people loved them on me. Because I am always thinking - glasses, no thanks. I also started getting sick - which meant hair in a bun or pony because I just couldn't. I also couldn't see to do my hair or makeup because my vision is the worst and my glasses were in the way. Promising, yeah? With all that being said my favorite outfit was probably Wednesday. It was so comfy and cozy - and really the first day that I was thought maybe I don't need to get all the way done up always. It felt good. Which of last week's outfits do you love most?

I have really started to love sharing my weekday wardrobe with you. It is giving me the creativity my closet needed so I don't always think, "I have nothing to wear" - because clearly you can tell by the mess of a closet I am in there are things to wear. This past week was pretty busy - as they all seem to be lately - it was thing, to thing, to thing but luckily I felt like I totally crushed it. My favorite look of the week was Thursday - mostly because I got that cute new top for Christmas and I couldn't wait to wear it. I loved the relaxed yet professional vibe the outfit gave off with the button up and cardigan plus booties. It was also so comfy to wear all day long. And my second favorite is Monday - solely thanks to that awesome floral dress - that Adam hates because he says it looks like Grandma's drapes - but I love it! Even with it being form fitted I never felt self conscious about my body while wearing it, which I feel says a lot about the form and shape of the dress. Can you believe it!? The first Weekday Wardrobe of 2016. That is right - TWENTY SIXTEEN! Can you believe I said?! I sure can't. Life is cruising by way too quickly. I don't think it helps that my job is always looking months and years in advance. But whatever. Here we are. For me - Tuesday takes the care. I am going to be totally honest with you and say I wore this outfit like 4 times within a week. I wore it to church two Sundays in a row since I was in different towns, I wore it to a wedding reception, and I wore it to work. Sold! I did swap out the cardigan, however, for when I wore it to work. But this striped shift dress from Downeast was a steal at the 40% off sale and I am so happy I snagged it. It is so comfortable and works great for any event - obviously... I wore it to three! And then Wednesday and Friday are a close second - love both of those outfits right now. You guys... it's been awhile, right? I stopped taking daily outfit picks. I stopped blogging. I even stopped doing as much on social media. A break just felt right and it felt nice. Okay... so I remember this week of outfits. Everyday I woke up being like - nope. Don't like my hair. Don't like my outfit. I feel like I look like junk. It was this week that helped me realize I wasn't taking care of myself and led to the small blogging break. Because I needed to cut something out for a bit while I figured my crap out. But with that being said. The day I felt I looked the worst - Thursday - is now my favorite looking at these outfits. Because I know that day I just was myself. I didn't stress about looking perfect for work and for meetings and so on. I just got up, got ready, and hit the pavement for another day. This week was like hitting the ground running. Jam packed every day. But that has been almost every day for the last couple weeks. And... to throw a wrench in the plans Adam is coming home a few weeks sooner than expected. He has been "shut down" by the Diamondbacks because they decided it was time to give his arm a rest. So I should be cleaning the house to make it perfect for his arrival but I will not be because I already have a packed weekend. Basically there is so much going on in my brain I can't even really think to type it out right now... so let's get to the outfits!

I think this week I am a little torn on which is my favorite. I guess overall I like Monday the best because I think my hair looks good that day too. But If I could combine Monday hair with Tuesday or Friday outfit it would be ideal. I am officially in the SOUTH! So this post is going to stay short and sweet. Idaho's weather was back and forth last week. Sun and sun, then rain and rain, then back to sun! This week has been slammed. Back to back to back of everything. Monday was work to dance to Homecoming event to help my friend with her website. Tuesday was work to Margene's for Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen stuff to Costco to more MIOT stuff to puppy training. Wednesday was work to home for a podcast to Zupas for girl's night. Thursday is work to dance class for three hours. And today and tomorrow is work and Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen through and through. Slammed I tell you. But I like busy weeks when Adam is gone because it makes time go faster until I get to see him again - which is NEXT WEEK you guys. But for now, enjoy a little weekday wardrobe.

Going from a three day work week to a full five day work week has certainly made my brain very tired. Ha! Last week I had Monday off for the holiday and I took Friday off for a trip to Utah with Adam - so this week it seemed like work took forever. Dragging and dragging until the weekend. But I made it, guys! I made it! It was a nice and busy week getting all geared up for sorority recruitment which starts today. I get to be heavily involved because I am the recruitment adviser for one on the sororities on campus. Should be fun to experience Greek life first hand! My favorite outfit of the week is Monday - the top has some cute buttons down the back that you can't see from this photo. It was a fun little number to put together. And just like that we are in September. And guess what? This weekend is Labor Day - nothing says party like a three day weekend! And as soon as Laboy Day wraps MY HUSBAND COMES HOME! So you could say I am pretty happy right now. And that is an understatement. I am ecstatic right now! THREE DAY WEEKEND. HUSBAND HOME!!!! Do you have any exciting Labor Day weekend plans? Well.... if you have been around for a few weeks you know that Tuesday is a major outfit repeat. Like to the tee... and in fact, the same day! Can you believe it is almost September!? This was the first week of school at Boise State - which is where I work - and it is bumpin' up in here. Students everywhere. I spent a few hours at information desks to help lost students with questions and directions. It is so nice to have a full campus again. I also started teaching U-Jam Fitness at the Boise State Rec Center. I love it - and I also realized just how little stamina I have... haha. Whoops! But more on all of that later. Right now I am taking you to last week's outfits, and you will notice some blue and orange still hanging out from the last orientations before school started!

Without a doubt my favorite outfit from last week is Wednesday! This dress, you guys! Long, flowly, lightweight, pockets, pattern. ALL GOOD THINGS! If you are looking for an awesome maxi dress head to Agnes and Dora's site like yesterday. I cannot say enough good things about this dress. It is super flattering and comfortable. Well... this one was supposed to go live last week. Whoops! But it is a good thing it didn't because this week has been fail city as far as taking my early morning outfit pictures. Partially because I was on vacation and partially because I had just gotten back from vacation. Does anyone else have the hardest time getting up the two or three days following a trip? It all works out in the end right? Right. Anyway - last week was spent almost dead because I was so sick. I did however get enough energy to go to Miss Western Idaho, where I was asked last minute to emcee! WHAT A KICK! Loved it. Lost my voice. Haha. Perfect. My favorite would have to be the joggers from Tuesday. I am a sucker for joggers, so when I saw these gems at the Rack I knew I had to have them. And they seem to be a hit around the office too. Weekday Wardrobe

I am going to be honest with you... this week and next week's Weekday Wardrobe is going to be short an outfit or two. This week is short one and next week is short two - to be exact. And I feel bad I am cheating you out of a few outfits, but sometimes things just happen ya know? Ha. This week is missing one outfit because I had an early morning flight on Friday and I was already running late enough without thinking about adding an outfit pic. And next week is missing two because I was staying in Adam's apartment which is full-length mirrorless because he lives with a bunch of boys and they just don't get it. But that is enough justification for now - too the outfits, my friends!

It feels a little weird having four outfits all in a row instead of my typical grid I give you.... Don't you think? My favorite outfit of this bunch is going to be Monday. Something about all black and a little leopard just makes me feel real classy and sassy all at once. If you know anything about me, you know I try to work in leopard/cheetah prints as often as possible. Maybe that makes me a little crazy, but I am okay with it. Weekday Wardrobe

Happy Independence Day tomorrow! Today is my "holiday" at work so I am packed up, Slider in his travel tote, and on our way to Alabama to visit Adam for the holiday. Just a quick trip this time - only 4ish days - but I will take what I can get. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Mine will be filled with baseball, fireworks, and lots of exploring. Well... if we are basing my favorite day off of hair alone - I would have to go with Monday. That was a MAGICAL hair day. I am working towards more hair days like that in my future. But my favorite outfit is probably Thursday. I really enjoyed pairing two summer colors - a pastel and a jewel tone - to make a fun, light outfit. Which one is your favorite?
