deep muscle soreness.

2.25.2009

Well. I am like 87% sure I am going to compete in Miss Magic Valley one last time. The pageant is June 27th, so until then I need to "lose weight and tone up". I feel like it is a good thing. I have real motivation this time. Instead of just getting fit for the sake of getting fit, I know that is what I need to do to do well in the pageant. Since that was their main concern last year. Tone up Tone up Tone up. Okay. Here I go on my path to lose like 20 pounds.

So, I am starting to work out more. Maybe take some classes, right? Monday night I missed the class I wanted to go to so I went to the gym just thinking I would run run run and more cardio, but a different class was starting right when I got there, "POWER PUMP". I was like this will be so great! Walk into the room.

The room is packed full with all these women that are wanting to get all toned and fit. Ran out of equipment, like seriously so many women. Start the workout with the equipment that I could snag... Lunges, weights, abs, steps, kicks, you name it, we did it.

One hour later, class is done and I am like.... so tired. Really? Am I that out of shape? No... EVERYONE is so tired and ready to drop. Did I really just come to this class that basically kills even the regulars? Oh, the answer would be yes. Will I be sore tomorrow?....

TOMORROW CAME AND WENT AND I WAS SO SORE (ps... I went to the gym again last night, 30 minutes or cardio and then a 30 minute all ab class probably wasnt the smartest move.) and now tomorrow is yesterday. Today I am still so sore. Like deep deep deep in my muscles, and I can't walk and I can't move. I seriously want to die. I never realized I could be so sore. Actually, just kidding, I realized I could, I just wasn't expecting it from one hour of trash kicking power pump.

Lesson? Power pump equals death.

presh.

My parents are going to Florida so they thought, "We will take our cute grandsons that are in Texas with us." This video is them finding out about their trip to Disneyworld.

I am really sad that I have school and can't go with these cute kids!

2.12.2009

President Samuelson.

2.10.2009

Yesterday was Student Development class with President Samuelson. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to hear from such a wonderful man. Some of the things he said I felt like they were direct answers to my questions.

Probably my favorite this he said was some advice he had personally gotten. "You will get a lot of advice in your life, and the best advice I can give you is be yourself."

He gave two things that are important:
Being an example
Who you marry

I enjoyed listening to him.

Oh, and the funniest part. When we were all leaving, we went to shake his hand and someone said, "I thought you were going to give me some dating advice..." and he grabbed my arm and said, "If you need ANY dating advice. Ask this girl right here, she seems to know what she is doing." Ha.

I just got some of the best advice from him. What a marvelous man.

Quickest road trip.

Here is what my Saturday and Sunday looked like.

Woke up at 9. I got ready for the day, packed, made some sandwiches, and got ready for my brother Eric to come and get me. Eric came around 10:15 and we hit the road. Driving driving driving. We stopped to eat lunch at Cove Fort... I think that was the name. Okay. My turn to drive. Driving driving driving. Got to St. George, switched back. POURING RAIN IN VEGAS! Wow. Got to Uncle Alan's house. Talked to him for about an hour and he showed us some pictures when I mentioned my interest in photography. At 5 we went to sushi. Sushi Fever, so good. Then we headed to the strip so we could see ELTON JOHN! Amazing. Wicked. Awesome. Loved it. Imagine giant car dealership-like blow up things all over the stage. Giant balloons with Elton John's face on them falling from the ceiling. Good music, good times. Seriously. I LOVED it. It was 2 hours of pure Elton just playing, singing, and being wonderful. If you dont like Elton John, I am very sorry. Opened with Benny and the Jets. Encore was Your Song. Okay. Loved it. That is the most I can say right now. Okay. Concert done. Back to Alan's. Bed. Wake up. Eat breakfast. Get in the car. Head back to Utah. Drive Drive Drive. Get to St. George. Eat at In and Out. I drive drive drive. Stop for gas and Eric drives. Welcome back to Provo!

Introducing my new nephew. Sean and JoEllen's first son, and my forth nephew. So cute.

party of 25.

2.05.2009

I was tagged in this on something else, but I thought I would post it here too... I was supposed to put 25 random things about me.

1. I didn't realize I had been tagged in like 10 of these.

2. I can honestly say I was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, and I would not change it for all the riches in the world.

3. Spandex=love.

4. The people in my life are the most amazing. I believe with all my heart that I am lucky to have the best family in the whole world, full of hilarious and intelligent people. And I am lucky to have the best friends in the whole world. They are there for funny, serious, and random anything.

5. When I am alone, I belt out show tunes... things like Wicked, Hairspray, Mamma Mia.... name it, I will sing it.

6. Once, I made a list of 100 things I wanted to do before I died... it has now grown to 163 things, and I add about one a week still.
