It is another meme Monday. Mostly because I am running too late everywhere to even think of something to actually write. Let me gather my thoughts for tomorrow's actual post while you get your giggle on. Today's Monday giggles is brought to you by a little T&T. Adam has a brother named Aaron. But for nickname's sake, we call him Ferni. Or Ferns. I got a letter from him this morning. After telling me good luck and congratulations for marrying Adam and then all about the work he is doing as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints back east (he is in Virginia) he proceeded to tell me this...
P.S. I killed a snake this week because it almost attacked me. I think I am going to start my own Man vs. Wild but call it "The world vs. Ferni" hahahaha

If any of you single ladies out there would like to write this strapping young man a letter, let me know! He loves getting mail. But then also... I think it is important to know that he has been training for this for awhile. Here is a very exclusive home video of him from... who knows how long ago, but it was before I knew Adam or his family. And I am so VERY lucky they shared it with me.

Remember how I keep saying "I promise I am not dead and I am back"? Well... I promise I am not dead! I am back! And once again... it will be temporary. That is what happens when you go to Idaho for a family get together of sorts one weekend, Canada for a best friend's wedding the next, and back to Idaho to crown the new MMV the following weekend. This week I am here for the long haul... but next week I am PEACING out for my wedding and I will fill this blog with guests posts! I have room for a few more, so let me know if you are interested. I feel like there are lot of things I was planning on telling you... but I seriously can't remember a single thing right now. So look forward to lots of posts (thats right... we are probably talking multiple per day) this week as I remember... timeline? And by timeline I mean the ones I know I will be writing, but I will probably fill in with extras and two a days as I upload my photos.

I am back from Canada! And I am back to work and regular life for a few days before I head up to Twin Falls, Idaho to crown the new Miss Magic Valley! I can't believe it has been a year since this video was playing as I walked out on stage!
I am so excited for the pageant. This year has been incredible. I have loved every second of being Miss Magic Valley and I don't regret a single moment. I have become a stronger person because of this pageant. I have learned a lot about myself through competing in the Miss America Organization. I have a greater love and respect for the people in my community as well as the state of Idaho. I owe a lot of who I am to the experiences I have had competing, the support from my family, as well as the incredible directors I have had during the last year. Now it is time to wrap up my year as Miss Magic Valley. In honor of Miss Magic Valley week - I am sharing a Miss Magic Valley movie for Movie Monday! Talk about alliteration, right?

The movie this week goes right along with the idea that I am in love and getting married as well as the sad reminder that in just two weeks I will be giving my title of Miss Magic Valley to a new young woman.

It is time I share this video with you. My friend Sarah Scissor Cut Bevan is not only an incredible hair stylist... but she is also an incredible human being that can sing, dance, and act. That is right... a quadruple threat, and you don't come across those often. Well last year she was applying to go to Beacon, which is a conference and learning show put on by The Professional Beauty Association. She is also creative... which is why this is what she submitted....
She did all the hair and makeup for the video. She let me help teach the dance to her supporters. And she did not use a stunt double at all. Old Spice and 500 Day of Summer, is she slash this not the best thing you have ever seen? I am not even mad. That is impressive. What youtube clips are you loving?
It is back. Sort of. Nothing fancy. Nothing special.... wait who am I kidding!? This is fancy and special. During an hour drive down to the Manti pageant I was privileged enough to be serenaded by Grant and Bret. And now it is your turn too. Enjoy!
Doesn't Grant just have a wonderful soprano voice? I wish you could have been there to see it all. Spice Girls, Shania Twain, Third Eye Blind, The Eagles... it was a two man show.

I got to see all my nephews and my niece (the youngest two are always asleep when the video camera comes out... I need to be better about that) this last week. I spent all Saturday with Grammy and Noah and they came out to watch Adam's baseball game last week against the Utes. Then I got to babysit Dallyn, Smith, Lars, Soren, and Lucy on Wednesday night. Aren't they the cutest!?
Well... I did get some good things to share this week, but I spent all yesterday taking care of this kid....
Poor thing, sick as a dog. Throughout the day I would ask him "On a scale of 1-10, 1 being dead and 10 being fantastic, how do you feel?" And his response was six a couple times, but it was usually three or four... So he ate a lot of saltines and drank a lot of Powerade... and Sprite, against his will because I forced him to stay hydrated and eat something. He will thank me later.
And because I spent my Saturday with Mom and Noah, and my Sunday taking care of the boyfriend... I didn't have time to put all those wonderful clips to music... So in light of recent events, I thought for movie Monday I would share a video that I love and appreciate. I think it has a very important message.

None of us is perfect. I know of no one who would profess to be so. And yet for some reason, despite our own imperfections, we have a tendency to point out those of others. We make judgments concerning their actions or inactions. There is really no way we can know the heart, the intentions, or the circumstances of someone who might say or do something we find reason to criticize. Thus the commandment: “Judge not.”
I know I am not perfect, but that is why I love this movie. It is a good reminder...
This is the easy way out of movie Monday, I slackers attempt... but I will keep rolling around with my camera and you can look forward to some personal videos in the future.
I am back from a weekend in Idaho at Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen! And let me tell you, it was a fantastic weekend. Meeting the girls I will compete with in June was exciting. It is always a good time to see old faces and meet the new girls. The teen pageant was put together so well. And both my teens placed in top 10! Which was truly the greatest moment. I was like a proud mama. Especially hearing that Miss Lauren won interview! Which, I think, is the greatest award to win. The weekend in Idaho Falls got me pumped to compete for the Miss Idaho crown in June. there is a lot to do before then though... paperwork, raise money for Children's Miracle Network, sell ads for the program book, practice interviewing, get in shape, work on my talent, find a gown... the list goes on and on and on so let's just move on to the movie.
My weekend was not long enough. I wish I could still be roaming the streets of Portland with my brother and my boyfriend. Seeing Eric was so much fun. I love being able to spend time with him, catching up, seeing his town and his school, and eating some good food. He had a huge paper to write, so while he did that I borrowed his car and went to watch some BYU Baseball... number 22 is a good looking guy, if you know what I mean! After the series was over we all went out for some street vendor dishes for dinner, a little Voodoo Doughnut, and Hunger Games.

Well. I was really excited to make a movie (the first ever Movie Monday) today... but things didn't go quite as planned over the weekend. I was planning on filming Adam's game Saturday but two things happened.... 1. My camera didn't charge and 2. Adam ended up not pitching (sad sad sad...) so I just filmed out relaxing Sunday. And Bret dancing in their living room... (which could be a video all by itself) Here you go. The first of many Movie Mondays.
