Fashionably Modest Linkup: Head Wear

I've been wearing this red leather and purple hat weekly, I can't get enough of these items. This outfit is made up mostly over-a-year-old items. I love digging through my closet and putting together something new. The hat is from 2007, the jacket is from 2010, the shoes and jeans are from last year, and the shirt was a recently revived item from Keena's closet sale. Do you have any items that have been in your closet for years? This weeks trend is head wear. I have been wearing my purple hat on a nearly daily basis. Fashionably Modest Link-up: Plaid

Over the weekend Adam and I took family photos and went to the Bloggers Give Back Event. This outfit is a combination of our Saturday morning, with the clothes from family photos and the jewels from Bloggers Give Back. Throw in the awesome wall, which was discovered compliments of Kelsey Bang, and we have a winning shoot. One of my favorite styles is what I like to call a pop-of color. Pairing all my blacks and greys together for a laid back, casual look with some bright jewelry and any outfit has some flair!

I love this outfits for one million reasons. Mostly because the color scheme is flattering. But also because I can dress it up to go out with some heels, I can keep it casual for errands with some boots, and I can turn into a lounging outfit with some flats or slippers. But let's get onto this week's trend. Plaids! I have been seeing plaids everywhere. In fact, this weekend, I took pictures of a fashion blogger that will be featuring plaid soon. Which tells me... I need to get a plaid something soon!

I am all about the stripes. Always and forever. And this top has been awesome with the bold center stripe. There isn't too much to this outfit besides a little simplicity and a pair of shades.. because, contrary to my former belief, you still need them even when it gets cold. Lesson learned. Halloween Pinspiration

October is my favorite month. Always has been, always will be for a lot of reasons! First. It is my birthday, which is reason enough all on it's own! Second. Halloween. Costumes? Candy? Costumes? Candy? Really, what else could top dressing up and getting a consistent sugar high the entire month. Third. Pumpkin everything. Carved, cooked, baked, the list goes on and on. I am a sucker for pumpkin. Fourth. The weather is cooling off and I can finally drink hot cocoa without breaking a sweat. So those four things plus all of the haunted houses, fun traditions, candy apples, doughnut eating contests, and goolish movies a girl could dream for. And thanks to Pinterest I have been pinning up a storm. But why would I just tell you about all my pins when I can SHOW you all my pins?

And that is just the start of all the Halloween Pinspiration!
