Miss Idaho was wonderful this year. And I am happy with how my time competing ended. After 4 years in the Miss Idaho Organization I can honestly say I have become a stronger woman than I ever thought I could be. I have learned a lot about myself and I will take the things I learned with me into my future endeavors. The Miss America Organization represents wonderful things. The four points of the crown, scholarship, service, style, and success, make this program unique from any other pageant system. I will continue to encourage young women to compete and I will volunteer because I believe in this program.
After a year as Miss Magic Valley and a week at Miss Idaho I walked away with $1800 in scholarship, I placed in the top ten, and I won two awards, the Community Service Award, voted on by the Miss America Organization and the Spirit of Miss Idaho Award, voted on by the contestants of Miss Idaho. My four years in Miss Idaho all led to this moment. And I am SO proud of all I have accomplished.

I am happy to call Whitney Wood our new Miss Idaho. I could say so many wonderful things about her. She was my sister titleholder last year and she truly is an incredible woman. Since I am not the winner, I am glad it it her. She will represent Idaho so well at Miss America!
I clearly have a lot of pictures... I just had a hard time narrowing it down. How do I fit a week of fun with 19 other incredible women into one post?! I love everything about the Miss America Organization. I love the woman I meet. I love the chance to serve and represent in my community. I love learning so many life skills from interviewing to fitness. I love the friendships made. And I love what the organization stands for. Miss Idaho holds a special place in my heart, and it always will! If you have any questions at all do not hesitate to ask. I would love to share anything with anyone!
Love,
Deidre
CONGRATULATIONS Deidre! I'm glad everything went well, and great job on your awards! PS: you're gorgeous
