He Doesn't Like It

10.21.2013

I figured it was time to get this outfit out of my drafts for two reasons. First. Leaves aren't green any more. Who am I trying to fool? Second. I learned this weekend that Adam does not like this dress. I tried to wear it two or three different times and every time he would say, "Can I pick out your outfit?" Eventually I just looked and him and said, "Do you not like this dress or something!?" And he said, with the sweetest little smile, "No, I don't." And when I asked for an explanation he said, "I don't know!? There is just something about it..." Well, jokes on you Adam. Because I like it and I will just keep it and wear it went he goes back to Arizona for baseball.

Bracelet: c/o Lands End \\ Necklace: Gifted from Etsy

And while the leaves aren't green anymore, this dress is still a keeper. Because even though I have turned Adam into a male fashionista (he would kill me for saying that... but fact is fact) this dress stays. And truth be told, I don't care who doesn't like it! Something about that gold chain pattern won my heart. Do you have any items that your friends or husband don't like but you love? Are you going to stick it to the man with me? Or am I a lone wolf over here?

There are certain outfits I have that my husband doesn't like. I usually just wear them anyway... haha He says he still thinks I"m beautiful, and I don't wear them all the time :)

Hmm well. My boyfriend doesn't give his opinion on my clothes, haha! Mostly because a) he has reaaaally horrible fashion sense so... and b) he knows i wouldn't listen to him. Partially because of a). Haha. So I love that you keep wearing it despite of him not liking it. As long as you like it!

I like it! Jake has picked out a lot of my sweaters and shirts that he doesn't like, but says I can wear them when he's not around. that works for me!!! boys.. don't know what good fashion is!

Ryan does not like all my heels with studs and spikes on them. He gets all freaked out cause usually I dress pretty girly, but then I pair it with spikes and he is like "what the heck?!" Other than that, he is pretty open-minded when it comes to my fashionista outfits.
But I still wear the studded shoes, cause I know I look hot when I'm wear them!! Haha!

Of course! But I wear dresses and shoes he doesn't like anyway. Sometimes I try to wear them when he isn't around so it is not too hard for him ;)hehe. Nice dress! :)

So adorable. I stopped dressing for anyone but myself when my engagement fell apart quite some time ago and I feel like it unleashed this...inner fashionista in me! It helped me love myself again.

As for me I just returned to the world of blogging. We'll see how take 2 goes!

Haha I can definitely understand the husband not liking something... my husband has great taste so usually I trust his opinion, but every once in a while I've just got to ignore it! I'm glad you kept the dress - it looks great on you!
