Dear Sleep Walker,

10.02.2012

I guess I am more of a sleep talker. Over the last week there have been three stories. And I have invited Deidre to share her experience with them...

Encounter 1.
Last week we went on a group date with some of my teammates and their wives. It was a great night.

Dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe, Chalk the Block at the Riverwoods (that photo is at the Riverwoods... don't be fooled, the boy in the blackshirt is hold salsa, not a goldfish), and then snow cones at the Hill's home. They have this way awesome snow cone machine. And I love snowcones. And apparently I REALLY love snowcones... here comes Deidre to explain.

We came come that night, got ready for bed, said our prayers, then lights out. At about 1 in the morning I wake up to Adam pushing hard on my face. I woke up and said, "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?" at this point his finger was in my nose... to which he said, "This is the snow cone machine. It needs to stay right here." I knew he was asleep, so I started asking questions. "Why is the snow cone machine in our bed Adam?" ... "Because this is where he wants it." .... "Why does he want it in our bed?" ... "Because it was getting on people." ... "Well, can we put it on your side? Or on the night stand?" ... "No. This is where he wants it..." And then Adam put his head back on his pillow... and I said, "Adam? Are you sleeping?" ... "No. I am awake." ..."Promise on our relationship." He gave a little chuckle and no answer. He was sleeping.

See. I DREAM about snow cones. And I dreamt about that awesome machine that Ali's family has in their backyard.

Encounter 2.
The next night has no explanation... I don't even remember what I was dreaming. Or what was going on. So I will just let Deidre tell you what she experienced.

I woke up to Adam yelling, "HEY YOU!!" And I just whispered, "Adam...?" And then he turns to me and says, "I am so sorry. I am so sorry. I am sorry. I am so so so so so sorry." Lays back down. And is out.

Yeah. I don't even know.

Encounter 3.
Once again. I will have no explanation. But I will let Deidre tell you. This one is short again.

Once again. I am woken up by Adam. This time not by noise. But by him sitting straight up in our bed. And then he laid back down mumbling... "Say hey you to me? No one says hey you to me.. You think you can do that and get away with it?" And then a bunch of gibberish. Back to sleep.

I hope you are enjoying hearing these as much as me.
More sleeping stories to come I am sure.
Do you sleep talk?
Sleep walk?
Sleep act all crazy?

Sincerely,
Adam

I totally talk in my sleep. Periodically, Ammon writes down what I say, so that the whole world can benefit from my awesome gibberish. I feel for you, Adam!

My husband sleep talks/walks, too! My favorite is when he was dreaming that we were in a warehouse and something was about to fall on top of us. I awoke being jerked out of my bed by the arm, standing next to Andrew and just staring at the bed. An explanation came quickly after that!

I love hearing stories of people sleep talking! My husband is hilarious in his sleep and it's so fun to tell him about stuff when morning time comes. Once though, he was dreaming he was in a fight with someone and punched me in the back. I was sleeping so I woke up with a gasp, which caused him to wake up and start apologizing. I was laughing so hard and after the initial shock, it didn't even hurt so it was just funny! Luckily though, that's never happened again.

Btw, I read the guest post on Life of Bon and clicked over and started on the most recent post and made it to here so obviously, I really like your blog! And I love that Adam gets his own day to
