Dear Engagements,

7.17.2012

With my wedding countdown well on its way I have decided to include you in my planning and excitement of nearly every aspect. I say nearly because some things --my dress and bridals-- are meant to be top secret from Adam. So no one can be included in that until after the wedding. Sorry Adam, and sorry anyone else who really wanted to see that part. The countdown has officially started.

I will be married in 30 days! Want to know some interesting facts about 30?
  • 30 is the minimum age for United States senators
  • In years of marriage, 30 years is the pearl wedding anniversary
  • 20 is the code for international direct dial phone calls to Greece
  • Various routes have been numbered "30"; New York State Route 30 which runs from the Pennsylvania border to the Canadian border,  Interstate 30, a freeway that runs from Texas to Arkansas, and  U.S. Route 30, a highway that runs from Oregon to New Jersey
  • The Beatles' eponymous album has 30 tracks, usually known as The White Album
  • At age 30 Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist, at the beginning of his public ministry of teaching and healing.

Fun right? Okay. now the real reason for this post. Engagements! Adam and I got a disc with our engagements, so I am here to share 3 (sticking as close to the 30 theme as possible..) of my favorites with you today.

JUST KIDDING! I can't just share THREE!!!! Here are a few more for you. I love them and I love to share them. With everyone. Because how could I not? Look how handsome my fancy fiance is!

If you want to see more... just stick around. They will be popping up all over my posts from now until August 16th!

Love,
Deidre

Dear Independence Day,

7.16.2012

Happy 16th 4th of July everyone!!! I am not late, you are all early... Sorry I am so so late posting. And when I say sorry I mean, I wasn't going to post anything because I was embarrassed I kept forgtting but my dear, sweet, lovely friend Hilary requested. Anything for Hil. My 4th of July was nice and easy this year. Was woken up at 6:00 AM by the parade campers, thank you and I hate you... If you live on University pick an apartment in the back people. Drove to SLC to spend some time with the family. Went to a neighborhood breakfast. Hung out with Sean, Jo, Noah, and parents. Had some lunch. Hurried back to Provo to pick up Adam from baseball. Went and bought some groceries. Came home and relaxed. Had a potluck with some of my nearest and dearest friends. And then headed over to the baseball stadium to watch fireworks. That about sums it up. So let us all look at some photos.

Cause baby. You are a firework.

Love,
Deidre
