Hello, hello! My name is Deidre.
Deidre Emme is a life + style blog to capture everything from our little family.
It is run by the wife but sometimes you will catch the husband posting.
Deidre grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho. She grew up with three older brothers. Deidre is a dancer and a pageant queen. Growing up she danced 5 days a week on a competitive team and after high school she started competing in the Miss America Organization. Now that she is no longer a Miss she volunteers on the board doing all the PR and marketing. Deidre graduated from Brigham Young University with a Leisure Services Management degree from the Marriott School of Management. While at BYU she was on the Folk Dance Ensemble, Foot Poetry – a tap dance team, and BYUSA – the student service organization. She is an event planner and has worked for professional basketball teams, Brigham Young University, and Marriott. Now she is working at Boise State University. Besides all that professional stuff. Deidre is a glitter enthusiast, a Michael Jackson super fan, and still a dancer. She likes to take photos, make jokes, and meet new people.
Adam grew up in Yucaipa, California. He comes from a huge family with 11 kids and he falls second to the last. The easiest way to describe Adam is “baseball player”. It is his life. After high school he was recruited to play baseball at Brigham Young University, which is where he met Deidre. He played for one year and then he left to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cuernavaca, Mexico. After serving for two years he came back to BYU for two more seasons before he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks. During his time with the organization he has played in Arizona for Spring Training and invite camps, Montana, and Indiana. Now I know it might seem like baseball is all I can say about Adam, but he is also a believer in Sasquatch, an adventurer, and full of charity. He likes to talk to anyone he meets and loves to play games and make people laugh.
Together we are the Millers.
We met in Utah and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple August 16, 2012.
In January of 2014 we moved to Arizona.
And in September of 2014 we ended up in Idaho.
